Liam is Senior Lecturer in Creative Writing at UWE Bristol and editor of the literary journal Tolka. He will draw on writers including Annie Ernaux, Joan Didion and James Baldwin for inspiration, as we explore how they transform real lives and experiences into powerful literature.
Workshop 1 (11 November) will get you writing. Bring an idea, a memory or a piece of work in progress and begin developing it into an essay, memoir or longer piece of non-fiction.
You’ll then have several weeks to work on your writing before returning for Workshop 2, (21 January) where the group will share work and offer constructive feedback.
Each workshop starts at 6.30pm and runs until 9pm

The workshops are an opportunity to experiment, develop your voice and think about where your writing might go next — including the possibilities of publication.
